Come and kick off the Yuletide season and jump the bonfire with Desert Henge Coven as we celebrate the birth of the Sun God at our Winter Solstice public ritual. Our Celtic ancestors celebrated the rebirth of the Oak King, the Sun King, the Giver of Life with the passing of the dark half of the year and look towards the light as the sun climbs just a little higher and stays a little longer each day. Dress festive and warm! Please gather at Himmel Park, the grove of pine near the library at 6:30pm for our 7pm start time. We will be collecting donations of non-perishable food items for the food bank OR an unwrapped toy for the refugee center so the joy of the season can be shared with those in need. We thank you in advance for your presence. A small feast of fruits, treats and spiced cider will be provided. Blessed Be!

It’s set! Our coordinator Gwyn will be leading the Fall Fest ritual with Patrick’s help at
Desert Henge, our British Traditional coven led by priestess Shea Hermes, has volunteered to lead a Yule ritual this year. Details to follow. With Patrick doing Samhain that leaves Lammas (or Lughnasadh), and Mabon to be covered for 2019. Please let me know if you are interested! And, of course, there is all of 2020 if you have a favorite holiday. Any Nature-based traditions are welcome to lead these, or other, public rites. Contact Carol Garr, ritual coordinator: email@example.com or 520-883-4444.
Sadly, no one from our community stepped up to lead a Summer Solstice ritual. It’s disheartening to me to find this lack of commitment to share our paths with others, but all I can do is ask again for each person or group who is knowledgeable enough about their tradition to help in the future. So far only Samhain has been spoken for (thanks Patrick!)
Blessed Litha to all!
Hearths Gate Coven has again volunteered to lead a public Beltane rite to celebrate the fertility of the season, complete with a maypole, at 2PM 5/4/19 at Himmel Park. Be there NO LATER THAN 1:30 if you wish to dance the pole, as ribbons must be chosen and affixed beforehand. This is always a joyous event, so hope you can be there. No potluck is planned afterwards, though there are restaurants nearby if people want to continue celebrating.
As no new volunteers have stepped up, our coordinator Gwyn Root will collaborate with Carol Garr to lead a Wiccan Spring Equinox ritual at La Madera park (same one as cauldronlucks) on Sunday March 24th. Gather at 11:00 am for ritual starting at 11:30. Potluck will follow. Our ramada is reserved. Hope you can join us. All are welcome.
Thanks so much to Raven’s Nest Coven for leading the Imbolc ritual on Saturday! We had 17 participants, including a few new people, and it was enjoyed by all. Good job!
We still have no volunteer for Ostara/Spring Equinox, the next upcoming celebration. PLEASE consider offering to lead a rite, or ask your contacts if they would do this one or any other throughout the year. We have someone doing Beltane, but all the others are still available. You pick the date, time, and venue. Any form of Pagan practice is welcome! One advantage of open rituals is to allow solitaries and seekers to experience differing paths and styles of practice so please step up. Individuals can lead (draft help if you wish) as well as groups. Please contact me with questions or if you’d be willing to volunteer. firstname.lastname@example.org
